About
Would you like to see your businesses highlighted on TV and radio? How do you get your message across when speaking to a journalist? How do you handle those tricky questions?
Led by industry experts, this bespoke training session will give your potential spokespeople more clarity and confidence dealing with broadcast interviews.
It’s your chance to make sure you’re fully prepared and help your team be powerful advocates for your business too!
This course will:
- Help you make the most of opportunities to put your business in the media spotlight.
- Provide focused time and space to discuss ideas and gain direct feedback from two former broadcast journalists.
- Include a combination of practical advice and practice interviews, giving you invaluable experience you can take forward into real-life situations.
- Help you develop transferable skills to support your own social media content, podcasts and corporate videos.
The session will be led by:
Peter Marshall spent more than two decades as a reporter, presenter and producer with BBC television news. A Royal Television Society award winner, Peter has a detailed knowledge of Cumbria, having spent 25 years covering the county for the nightly news programme - BBC North West Tonight - and the BBC’s regional current affairs programme ‘Inside Out’.
Heather Sewell has more than 20 years of experience spanning PR, journalism and marketing communications. Formerly a radio journalist and Head of News at The Bay (now Heart North Lancashire and Cumbria), she led the team to a national Commercial Radio News Award as ‘Newsteam of the Year’.
