Cumbria LNRS - Farmers, Landowners & Businesses
About
Cumbria is home to a rich and varied range of nationally important habitats in a unique landscape. From the summit of England’s highest mountain to the coastal and estuarine habitats of the Solway Firth and Morecambe Bay, Cumbria is an ecologically special place that deserves care and protection.Despite having some wildlife success stories and being a county renowned for its natural assets, biodiversity in Cumbria has declined significantly in line with national trends, and is continuing to do so.
Local Nature Recovery Strategies are therefore a way of helping everyone to reverse this decline in biodiversity. By taking data, expert opinion, and including what is important to people, we can set out priorities for nature recovery and map where actions can have the biggest positive impact.
This webinar welcomes farmers, landowners and businesses to hear more about the Cumbria Local Nature Recovery Strategy, and for you to share your views on what matters to you.
