Peter Tickler has written several crime novels set in and around Oxford and featuring DI Susan Holden and private eye Doug Mullen.He is the great-grandson of T G Tickler, supplier of jam to troops in the trenches in the First World War. At its peak the factory in Grimsby employed 1,500 people. This was the inspiration for his latest book The Tickler’s Jam Murders. It features Detective Sergeant Kite who is sent to a country house in Lincolnshire to investigate an explosion that killed a prominent businessman.
Peter will be talking about his latest book, how he became a writer and answering questions from the audience. There will also be an opportunity to buy copies of his book and have them signed by the author.
