Gregson 2024 - past, present and future
About
Our History, AGM and revealing plans for the next three yearsPAST: Built in 1889 to ‘serve the needs of the people’, the Gregson has a fascinating history as a community asset in Lancaster. Inspired by archeologist and child of the Gregson, Molly Pye, Gregson volunteer and Associate of Lancaster University's Regional Heritage Centre, Matt Cole will delve into the Gregson’s history. His talk will focus on the Gregson’s beginnings when it was surrounded by mills and mill workers' houses. Matt will explore why the centre sprung up and how it has adapted to meet the changing needs of the world around it.
PRESENT: What has been happening? At our charity’s Annual General Meeting we will look back at what’s happened in the last year, how it has happened and why. We are a community owned and led organisation so everyone is invited. To most fully take part, please sign up to be a member, click here (this is now FREE and takes 2 minutes).
