LDCVS Swop Shop Skill Share Network is a quarterly event that aims to share best practice in the third sector in the Lancaster district. This session will focus on what we as organisations can do to help prevent suicide in our population.
With this Swop Shop Skills Share we will endeavour to share good practice around the themes of Suicide Prevention. Unfortunately in our district we have a serious problem with certain populations with numbers of people who are at risk of taking their own lives. With this in mind we want to ensure that organisations and groups have the tools, resources and knowledge to help them support people who are at their most vulnerable.
Hosted at Positive Futures, the mental health charity that holds the contract for the Crisis cafe in the Lancaster district, with experts from Lancaster University, Adullum and yourselves we are looking to hold open and honest conversations and share ideas and practical advice.
Refreshments can be purchased from the fantastic Positive Futures cafe and there will be an opportunity for more networking at the end of the session.
