Fitty Gomash invite you to a joyous, raucous, festive knees-up like no other in Stroud.Join stalwarts of the south west folk scene, Fitty Gomash, for a night of music, song and dance in the heart of Stroud. Fitty Gomash means ‘to keep your feet warm through dancing’ in Orkney Gaelic, and they will be sure to ensure you do just that.
For over 15 years Fitty Gomash have been playing barnstorming Christmas Hooleys in Bristol, but this is the first time it has come to Stroud. So in what will doubtless become a Christmas tradition, this is a chance to shake your tinsel and your baubles with the best of them.
Playing a mix of only the most pumping Irish, Scots and contemporary folk tunes, this Bristol 8-piece will have you swinging and spinning and do-si-do-ing your partner long into the night. There may even be the odd Christmas earworm slipped in for good measure.
The event will begin with rowdy carols around the piano. Come dressed in your festive best… and bring your dancing shoes.
