Norman's weekend getaway: where family ties unravel faster than his plans!Fifty years ago, Alan Ayckbourn's acclaimed trilogy, The Norman Conquests, opened in the West End. Following the events of a weekend in a faded middle-class abode in the south of England Table Manners (set in the dining room) is the best known. Highly comic and at times poignant, it portrays a family's relationships in an era before mobile phones and disposable contact lenses.
