The programme will include a mixture of organ, classical, and contemporary music, with original scores and music-style fusions by Matt. On the night, an improvisation piece with the theme suggested by pupils will also be performed.Matt learnt to play the organ whilst at Downside School, Somerset, where he still plays as his family lives locally. He started learning the piano whilst at school, but in Year 9, his music teacher joked that his ability to play football might mean he would have the necessary coordination to be talented at playing the organ. This prediction turned out to be correct. Matt studied Classics at Homerton College, Cambridge, where he also held an organ scholarship.
Under his alter ego, Aka Reductio, Matt took to DJ-ing, creating his own style of music alongside his education. As Reductio, Matt is keen to bring organ music to a new young audience. He has been shaking up the world of classical organ music with his classical-dance music re-mixes.
