Two Statues, a Temple, a Garden, two Tombs, and a Lighthouse. This rather odd selection of monuments has become famous as the list of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. They were described as “Themata” for Greek sightseers; “things to be seen", which today we would call "must-sees" on our Bucket List.All but one of these masterpieces of human achievement have long since crumbled into dust. But their legacy survives, and these triumphs of human vision, architecture, and creativity have become the stuff of legends. And one of them probably didn’t exist.
But how did they get on the famous List? Who chose them? How were they built? And what happened to them over the years? Come on a special journey and find out.
