Norwich High School for Girls Students, Alumnae, Parents and Guests join together to perform Choral Music and Solo instrumental works including from Vivaldi, Albinoni, Williams, Bergersen and Todd.Vivaldi’s Gloria
One of Vivaldi's most celebrated works, Gloria reflects the exceptional musical training provided at the Ospedale della Pietà, a Venetian orphanage for girls where Vivaldi taught music from 1703. The piece showcases Vivaldi's bright, engaging melodies and rhythmic vitality, which lend it an enduring, universal appeal.
Todd’s Mass in Blue
Composed in 2003, this dynamic work blends driving jazz rhythms with strong choral writing, complemented by solo piano and soprano vocals. The piece is a testament to Todd's mastery of both jazz and choral traditions, creating a vivid and innovative musical experience.
Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start.
The evening is scheduled to conclude at 9.30pm.
