Abbey Church Tours - York Residents' Weekend (SOLD OUT)

Join us over York Residents' Weekend, 25 - 26th Jan 2025, for an exclusive FREE tour of the fascinating Ampleforth Abbey Church.
You'll be led by a monk and one of our knowledgeable volunteers, who will take you on a journey of exploration through the church's history and striking architecture. You'll visit rarely seen areas of the church including the Crypt and learn interesting facts about its many chapels and other features.
You're also welcome to join a FREE interactive session in our Visitor Centre, 'Everything you've ever wanted to know about life as a monk', led by Ampleforth monk, Fr Bede, from 12.15 - 1.15pm.
Our Tea Room and Abbey Shop will also be open 11am - 3pm both days, where hearty home-cooked food is served in a beautiful setting.
Ticket holders will receive more information on how to find us and where to meet closer to the event.
