Metal embossed valentines ornament workshopA fun introduction to the art of metal embossing, learning how to make traditional ‘corazones mexicanos’ – Mexican hearts or sacred hearts, based on the Mexican artform of ‘milagritos’. We’ll start on a practice piece and will go through the method of transferring the design to the metal, learning the techniques of metal embossing. Then we’ll move on to designing and creating a heart, learning a few extra techniques along the way. Finally we’ll learn how to add a finish to your heart to make it look aged and will then decorate to add plenty of colour.
Each student will leave the workshop with one finished heart.
Suitable for beginners.
