Since the University of Nottingham's first Vice-Chancellor was appointed in 1948, Professor Jane Norman is only the eighth person to hold the post, having taken office on 1 January 2025.The Vice-Chancellor's inaugural lecture marks a rare and special moment in the university’s story. We invite our staff, students, alumni, partners and friends to join us for this historic event, as Professor Norman shares her vision for the future of higher education.
What should universities be in the decades to come? How can we strengthen alliances, foster new relationships and promote positive dialogue in our city, region and across the world? Join Professor Norman to explore these questions and celebrate this momentous occasion.
