Welcome to our fourth Cross Bay Walk. Join us on this spectacular walk across the stunning sands of Morecambe Bay.Guided by Michael Wilson, the King’s Guide to the Sands, you’ll walk from Arnside, leaving at around 11:15am, across the bay to Grange over Sands travelling some 7 to 8 miles by a safe route. Registration in Arnside opens at 9:45am.
Depending on the sands, the route varies but the walk usually takes 3 to 4 hours.
Our previous walks were all sold out and enjoyed on the day by almost 500 walkers and plenty of dogs. We hope for a similar outcome in 2025.
Trains run from Grange-over-Sands Railway Station, LA11 6EH, ( what3words ///pounds.apples.shameless) to Arnside; the journey time is just 5 minutes and you can find times and prices at https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ Tickets can be purchased online or at the Railway Station using the manned kiosk or the machine on the platform.
