Working with Community Groups

About
Community projects sound great, but sometimes you can end up holding the shovel. To get a community growing site off the ground requires many hands to make work light. This session will give you some tools for:Putting community engagement at the heart of your project.
Creating an inclusive community culture.
On-going communications and decision making structures to set your project up for success.
Join Anna, Kathy and Vaso from Claver Hill for a session focused on food growing through working with community groups. They have all been involved in many food growing initiatives that involve high community involvement and engagement. They can share their insight on how to approach members for your community growing project such as a neighbourhood allotment or community garden. They will share engagement, recruitment and retainment techniques and the different types of volunteers you are likely to get.
