Northampton Bach Choir Come & Sing Mass in Blue - Will Todd

About
As part of Northampton Bach Choir's 90th year celebrations, the choir is delighted to welcome acclaimed composer, Will Todd, to direct a Come and Sing workshop day open to all (some choral singing or sight reading experience is needed).
Mass in Blue is a jazz interpretation of the Latin mass for SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) voices and soprano soloist. It combines jazz rhythms with expressive choral harmonies and solo piano. Commissioned in 2003, it has become a favourite in choral repertoire.
Music hire is included in the workshop price for non-Northampton Bach Choir members and will be provided on the day (NBC members, please bring your hire copies to use). Booking for the day will close on Monday 12th May to enable the organisers to have enough hire copies available.
All Saints', Northampton is the venue for the day - a beautiful 17th Century church, built in the style of Sir Christopher Wren's London churches after the Great Fire of London, and situated in the heart of Northampton, a short walk from the town's cultural quarter.
The onsite Bistro will be open or you can eat in one of the many cafes nearby, or bring your own lunch. Tea/coffee/squash is included in the ticket price.
Children over 10 who are familiar with choral singing are welcome to take part, but all participants aged under 18 will need a chaperone please. This can be a named friend or family member who is also participating, or a named friend or family member who will remain on site all day. Alternatively, a Licensed Chaperone is available - places are limited so please get in touch with the organiser if you need to book this service.
