BIGGER THAN BIG NEWS --- The Principal sponsor of the inaugural festival is none other than Laphroaig Distillery!!!! There are lots of planned stuff including a rather special guest hosting an amazing Premium masterclass, details will be annouced soon. Also the oldest distillery on Islay; Bowmore is joining plus Ardbeg, Bunnahabhain, Port-n-truan along with a number of Indy bottlers with their Islay expressions in tow. This is going to be something special.

BIG NEWS **** venue has been upgraded, we needed more space for the likes of the rather spiffing masterclasses planned so its now The Assembly Rooms in the city centre**** 

This is going to be rather special and perhaps unlike any festival before. Bringing the magic of Islay to the mainland with a focus on the experience you get when you visit the distilleries themselves. If you've not been able to get to this year's Feis, not visited before or its been too long then for perhaps the first ever time we get some of the people and the gorgeous whisky a little closer to home for us to enjoy. We know it won't be the same as visiting Islay however this may be the next best thing, meeting some of the wonderful people from the visitor centres and production, getting to try (and perhaps buy) some of the distillery exclusives along with master classes to die for. To build on the success of the Whisky Indy Love Festivals this is a great addition and in the same vein aimed at genuine fans and keen interested peeps.Dive in fast:

• This may not happen again and it really is going to be a peathead and whisky fans heaven
• Jumping in and supporting early helps the organiser to really build the momentum from the distilleries, clubs... and to sleep at night :)
• I've capped numbers to make sure its not over busy, you get time and space with some of the most wonderful whisky peeps, genuine Islay onl;y treats... so if it sells out (fantastic) but you don't wanna miss it (FOMO on steroids)

That enough reason? You are not going to believe what they are planning to make this an event to remember.

Your ticket gives you access to the event, ability to book onto masterclasses (there will be extra cost for masterclasses but not stupid prices as you've paid for your ticket) and every exhibitor will have a table of delights to sample plus nosing glass and bottle of water. Details of masterclasses will be released to ticket holders for booking prior to the festival.

So as mentioned above the venue is the prestigious Assembly Rooms Newcastle 5 mins walk from Newcstle Central Station, right in the heart of the city and it is a beautiful building (3rd oldest in Newcastle). Loads of room for the exhibitors, visitors and for the masterclasses. You are going to love it.
