'Tis Pitty Shee's A Whore by John Ford

About
“Shall then, for that I am her brother born,My joys be ever banished from her bed?”
As brother and sister, Giovanni’s and Annabella’s forbidden love leads inevitably to tragic consequences. ‘Tis Pity... is a high-Jacobean revenge tragedy - a searing exposition of incest, murder, adultery, and betrayal. This astonishing but rarely performed masterpiece offers verse to rival Shakespeare’s, tragic roles as challenging as Ophelia and Romeo - and a villain every inch as treacherous as Iago.
