Faure Requiem and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria

About
Malvern Festival Chorus with conductor Jonathan Brown will perform two lovely choral works on Saturday 10 May in Great Malvern Priory. The first of these, Faure’s Requiem, is well-known and loved by many. The second is a less well-known work full of colour, vitality and musical surprises. Puccini’s Messa di Gloria was composed when he was only 18. The work is written in an operatic style which is clearly influenced by Puccini’s hero, Verdi.
With organ accompaniment and professional soloists, the concert promises to be a memorable event.
The concert is at 7.00 pm in the magnificent setting of Great Malvern Priory. Drinks will be available in the interval. For more details about the concert visit malvernfestivalchorus.co.uk.
