Exploring Food Ladders as an Approach to Food Security

This event provides an opportunity for local food organisations and community members to learn about the food ladders model and consider how to further embed its principles into their work.Dr Megan Blake is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Geography and a member of the Institute for Sustainable Food at the University of Sheffield. She created Food Ladders, an innovative evidence-based tool to help local organisations increase everyday food security and connect communities by looking at the root issue of vulnerability.
During this event, attendees will be able to ask Dr Blake questions about the food ladders approach and as a community we will discuss how local organisations are already using the food ladders model and how it can be further embedded.
Some delicious locally cooked food will also be served at this event.
