About
Join us for a day of rag rug making.All materials are included but please do bring anything you would like to use. Fine knitted jumpers and fleece fabric are best.
We will provide the hessian for you to take home so you can carry on rag rugging at home.
Hooks are available to use and buy. Try and think about a design beforehand – curves and circles work well.
Hooky rug making; a traditional skill revived as an art form in the Lanercost and Banks area in the mid 1960s, and passed down through the generations.
