Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use TryBooking for free?

TryBooking is completely free for free events - there are no hidden charges, and you still get access to all our features.

For paid events, we only charge a small fee when you sell tickets. You can choose to pass this fee on to your ticket purchasers, letting you use TryBooking at no cost to you.

Do I need to purchase anything upfront?

No, there are no upfront costs - just bring your event idea, and you're ready to go!

Do I have to give my card details to sell tickets?

No, you don’t need to add your card details to sell tickets. Our fees are automatically deducted from your account balance or passed on to ticket buyers, depending on the option you’ve selected in your account.

How do I get paid for tickets sold?

Once you start selling tickets, funds (minus any fees you’ve chosen to cover as the event organiser) will be added to your TryBooking account balance.

To withdraw funds, simply add a UK bank account. We’ll send a small verification amount before you can request a transfer.

If your account is linked to Stripe, ticket sales (minus Stripe’s fees and any TryBooking fees you’ve chosen to cover) will be deposited directly into your Stripe account.

Is there a limit to how many free tickets I can sell?

No, there’s no limit to the number of free tickets you can issue. You’ll also have full access to the same features available to paid event organisers.

Do you offer discounted pricing for non-profits?

We believe running events should be affordable for everyone. That’s why we keep our fees low for all event organisers, including charities, PTAs, and other non profits.

To help maximise your fundraising, you can choose to pass our low processing fees on to ticket buyers - allowing your non profit to use TryBooking at no cost.

How do I pay TryBooking's fees?

We only charge fees when you sell paid tickets.

If you choose to cover the fees as the event organiser, they will be automatically deducted before funds are deposited to your account balance.
