Anyone who runs workshops or classes appreciates the vast amount of time and effort spent on ensuring an efficient and accurate registration process.  Large organisations generally manage the entire process online, but solutions for small to medium sized organisations have been virtually non-existent.

So, when The Buzz Dance Theatre heard that a cost effective and flexible system is now available for any size organisation, they jumped on TryBooking immediately.

Nationally recognised as Australia’s premier dance theatre company for children and young people, Buzz Dance Theatre (formerly 2 Dance) has provided excellent artistic programs and engaging dance theatre experiences since 1985.  In addition to top quality performances, Buzz Dance Theatre’s annual program caters for approximately 20,000 people and they run more than 500 workshops throughout communities in Western Australia.

The change

Buzz Dance Theatre began selling performance tickets online a few years ago, but they found the experience expensive, inflexible and that they had very little control.  A recommendation from another dance company, Strut, brought them to TryBooking in 2010.

With more than 500 workshops a year, however, The Buzz Dance Theatre immediately had a greater time-saving impact by using TryBooking for online registrations.  “We use TryBooking for our workshops that correspond with our public performances in Perth’s CBD, and we plan to use TryBooking for all our public performance workshops in the future.”

“Before each workshop I look on TryBooking to instantly see how many people have registered.  It is a great way to stay organised. I especially like the Ticket Sales vs Time report. I use this report almost daily to check how many tickets are selling over time.  I also use the Booking List regularly so I can greet our patrons by name at the door.

“Looking ahead, I plan to gather more information from our participants when they register. That way I can plan our workshops easily and really make the experience personal for the children involved.  So far I haven’t found anything that I can’t do on TryBooking.”
